Stirling Council
Now into third consultancy with this client. Engaged with remit to ‘get telecare provision moving’. Conducted appraisal of existing provision and produced initial report with recommendations. Advised on purchase of new call handling system. Worked with senior management to produce Control Centre Procedural Manual. Delivered training to Installers, Operators and mentored management staff.
Hanover Scotland Housing Association
12 years working with community alarms, smart technology, telemedicine, lone worker systems, assistive devices, and telecare. Ensured Hanover achieved TSA part 2 accreditation. Stock management, maintenance and replacement programmes. Trouble-shooting and providing expert advice to Careline clients including three local authorities and over 50 other organisations.
Scottish Borders Council
Consultancy. Assisted local authority to ‘bed in’ existing telecare service provided by Bordercare. Raised awareness and profile of telecare and Bordercare by co-ordinating two regional conferences with nationally recognised speakers and designing literature. Delivered training and awareness sessions to health and social care staff. Provided technical support and advice to council departments.
Argyll & Bute
Whilst with HSHA provided training and co-ordination of initial telecare roll-out in Argyll and Bute through the Atlantic Islands Project. Running awareness and information sessions throughout Argyll and the Islands. Authored Installers handbook which gave step by step instruction, advice and support for installers coping with new technology. 
Telemedicine
Project manager with HSHA for first commercial application of Tunstall Telecom’s Safe21 telemedicine monitor. Co-ordinated long-term monitoring of early-discharge COPD patients with ARAS team at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Co-ordinated and provided overnight monitoring of patients attending sleep clinic at Royal Alexandria Infirmary in Paisley.     
West Lothian
Working with HSHA was involved with initial awareness sessions and staff training for West Lothian Opening Doors Project. Delivered first draft of training manual eventually used to train all staff in the new ‘SMART’ technology. Liaised with control centre and council staff to assist with design and implementation of procedures and protocols including co-ordinated battery replacement, call code recognition and response.
